S

Standard Enthalpy of Combustion (ΔH°comb)

The enthalpy change when 1 mole of a substance burns completely in oxygen under standard conditions.

Standard Enthalpy of Formation (ΔH°f)

The enthalpy change when 1 mole of a substance is formed from its elements in their standard states.

Standard State

A commonly accepted set of conditions (1 bar pressure, 1 M concentration for solutions, and usually 298.15 K) used as a reference point for thermodynamic properties.

State Function

A property whose value depends only on the state of the system, not on the path taken to reach that state.
